R & N’s stunning winter beach wedding was truly one for the books. Yes, I said winter wedding… and yes, it was on the beach. California is always full of surprises and this one may be one of the best 🙂
On the nicest winter day of 2023 (thus far… trust me, if you’re from Santa Cruz YOU KNOW this winter really was a rough… and wet one) I was honored to photograph the most magical beach celebration at the beautiful Dream Inn in Santa Cruz, CA. I could feel the excitement in the air as family and friends from all over the world gathered to celebrate R & N’s big day. Guests were not only engulfed with love and emotion for R&N but also to have met each other’s family for the first time!
As R walked down the aisle with her dad, the entire beach filled with emotion and huge smiles across everyone’s faces. R&N, the most relaxed souls I’ve ever met, soaked in every moment. Choosing not to do a first look I could see so much excitement and love exchanged between them. Under the warm sun and soft beach breeze they exchanged their vows with beautiful letters they wrote each other.
After the ceremony, the party began. We danced the most amazing traditional dabke dance, indulged in some mouth-watering desserts, and watched the sunset paint the sky in hues of orange and pink as we ran along the beach and captured the last of the ooey-gooey moments of the sunset together.
I felt like my heart was out of my body the entire day as I witnessed the pure love and joy between R and N. They truly are a match made in heaven, and I wish them a forever of happiness and endless beach adventures together.
